About Tintin around the World Who's Tintin? Tintin was created by Georges Remi (May 22, 1907 - March 3, 1983) who is better known as Hergé. The first albums appeared as early as 1929 and the last (incomplete) album was published in 1986. New translations are still being published. Tintin became a worldwide bestseller and has been translated into many languages, regional languages and dialects. This site is dedicated to all those translations of the 24 comic albums made by Hergé. You won't find in-depth information about Hergé or the Tintin stories as there are numerous excellent websites that do that already. Here we try to give you detailed information about each translation. |

For each language, regional language or dialect we show:
The publisher(s), titles, year of first print and name(s) of the translator(s).
Each publisher gets his own list of titles except in case of a change of the publishers name or when different publishers use the same list of titles and the same translation.
